myth of prude government implies that bias on their part instead of different priorities like book stores,education in place of strip clubs. citizens prefer education to that. a mayor and city council would have rendered the plot of strip club moot in the Long mire t.v. series. so the character Hannah would have still been alive. fight over water or t.v. plot f genocide would make more sense.
